About BBC

History

In 2001, a small group of believers began meeting together as an outreach to U.S. embassy workers, founding BBC. In those first few months, the church moved from a member’s apartment to the local CTS Plaza Hotel. As time passed, the congregation became more internationally and ethnically diverse. Since then, BBC has continued to grow, transform, and relocate according to the needs of the congregation. Today, we meet at the German Center located in the Grand Summit building D near the LiangMaQiao Subway station.

Vision

By God’s grace, we seek to:
•Know and worship God through the Lord Jesus Christ
•Grow in faith and obedience through the expository preaching of God’s Word
•Emphasize loving leadership and meaningful membership
•Serve, encourage, and support one another
•Reach out in love and gospel witness to our community

Leadership

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the ultimate Head of His church. Therefore, everything we seek to do is in response to His lovingly authoritative Word, the Bible.

At this time, Beijing Baptist has called Pastor Mark Hatfield to shepherd and help equip the church body for the work of the ministry.

Membership

One important way to participate in the life of BBC is to formally join the church through membership.

The transience of expat life makes it easy for Christians to be secluded, lonely and vulnerable. Many have left families, churches and social networks back home and are here in Beijing for a limited term. In such circumstances, it’s all the more important to be involved in and accountable to a local church.

Because we believe church membership is a biblical concept, we encourage regular attenders to apply. If you would like to learn more about becoming a member of BBC, please Contact us for more information.
